Rebecca
Moesinger grew up in the South Shore area of Massachusetts, with a love and flair
for baking, cooking and decorating. Rebecca worked her way up the ladder of responsibility
and ability in the food service industry in Boston area hotels and restaurants,
including the Ritz-Carlton Boston. Guenther Moesinger was born and raised
in the in the small village of Lehen, in the shadow of Germany's Black Forest.
Apprenticed in the Old World tradition to a local master baker or "meister"
at the age of thirteen, Guenther was instructed in the art of pastry. In 1985,
Guenther attained his "meister" in pastry making, then was quickly recruited
by the Ritz-Carlton Boston to begin his career. Shortly after Rebecca
and Guenther met at the Ritz, the two decided to become entrepreneurs with their
own bakery. Both Guenther and Rebecca sensed a strong need for a European style
bakery that serviced both the hotel industry and the retail market. Thus, they
left the security and prestige of the Ritz to open their fledgling new business...Konditor
Meister...the name paying homage to Guenther's training in the pastry arts of
Germany. The bakery moved from Quincy to Braintree in 1995 to accommodate
a larger business with more convenience and accessibility, but as both Rebecca
and Guenther profess often
"the building may be bigger, but the business
remains the same." Full service with attention to detail, by chef/owners
working seven days a week. | |
